Charlene POV

“I heard some bad news today, something that made me scared… Today, I found out that I have cancer; it was something I had always feared. I knew many people died because of this. The fact that I’m sick, just completely put up into my mind that this has no cure. My family doesn’t know this and I have no plan to tell them at all… Even my best friend doesn’t know, I didn’t tell her yet… I know I have to be strong. But, Does anyone hear me when I’m lying on my bed?"

"Ella..." she said

"Char, Why?" Ella said.

"Can you come into my place today?" she said.

"Is there any problem?" Ella asked.

"Oh- nothing, I just want to spend my day with you." she said.

"Really?" Ella said. "Is there any occasion or what?""Ha-ha...
nothing..." she said.”I just... I just want to spend my whole day with
you, is there anything wrong with that? And besides, who knows what
life will bring to us, maybe, just maybe... this is my last day."

"Char! What the hell are you saying?" Ella angrily said."Ha-ha... just joking..." she said laughingly."Oh please! That’s not a good joke la!" Ella said.

"Okay, okay..." she said.”So, I'll be waiting with you...""Okay!" Ella said. "I'll be there in 30 minutes."

"Okay,take care, bye..." she said and slowly put down the phone.”What will
Ella react if she knows that that I’m dying... I'm sure my dear best
friend will be sad. I know her very well; she's too emotional when it
comes in a situation like this. I remember when we attend a charity
work 2 years ago in one of the hospitals in Taipei, when we saw an old
wicked woman, dying in cancer also. She cried a lot, she feel pity for
the old woman."Then suddenly, she looked at the picture of her
Ella and Chun. [A/N: Ella, Chun, Charlene in the picture. ^^] Then the
picture of her and Chun that was taken on their first anniversary 3
years ago."Chun?" she said. "How about him? Do I have had to
tell him right away? I loved him, I really loved him, but this time, I
have to let him go. And besides, I really know that his heart really
belongs to Ella. Ever since, I know that, but because of our parents we
have to be together. But in this case, I have to let go of him, I want
him to be happy, be happy to the one he truly loves... And that's
Ella... But do I really have to tell him?"

Thne someone press the doorbell. "Maybe it's Ella.""Hi! What's up?" Ella happily said."Ella, come in..." she said. Then she and Ella come inside the house.

"Char, are you okay?" Ella asked."Huh... Ahh... yeah... why?" she said."Hmm... I'm just not to get used to seeing like that..." Ella said.

"Like what?" she said.

"Hmmm... You look like sick." Ella said. As they walk through the terrace."Ah! Ha-ha... You should get used to it." Charlene said.

"Huh?" Ella said."Ha-ha... forget about it..." she said."Oh! Anyway Char; I have a surprise for you." Ella said and opens her bag.

"Really? What is it?" she said excitedly.

"Tantananan!" Ella said.

"Wow! A Red dress...Elle... Thank You!" she said. "Wait, now, let me ask, what the occasion is huh?"

"Hmmm.. nothing, I just want to give you a present. Is there something wrong with that?" Ella said.

"Uh... of course nothing!" she said. "I just worried that... that, I would use this anymore."

"Yoh! What are talking about? Sounds strange." Ella said."Ella...listen."
she said. And she holds both Ella's shoulder. "No matter what happened,
promise me that you'll take care everything here okay?"

"Oh... W-why?" Ella said. "Is there something wrong? Char; don't you say something to me?"

"Ella, please... When you know about this, please don't tell Chun okay?" she said. "Promise me."

"Huh? Char, what's going on?" Ella said. "Why you saying those things? Why I shouldn't tell to Chun?"

"Ella, I'm dying!" Charlene said.

"What?" Ella said. "What did you say? You might be kidding right?"

"No...No I'm not...." Charlene said.

"But... How? How this happened?" Ella said. "What is your sick?"

"I have brain cancer." she said."What?" Ella said and she slowly seat on the chair. Tears fall from her eyes."I'm
afraid Ella, I'm afraid that I lose my memory someday and I didn't
recognize all of you. Specially Chun. You know how much I love him."

"So, he should know this." Ella said.

"No! He shouldn't!" she said."But why?" Ella said. "He has the right to know this, he's your fiance!"

"Ella, listen to me. I want him to be happy..." she said.

"But, how can you make him to be happy, if you wouldn't let him know about your situation?!" Ella said.

"Because, I am letting him go!" she said."But why? Why-" Ella said.

"Because,
I know in my heart, I'm not the one he loves!" she said. "How can I
make a person happy if his heart doesn't belong to me and belongs to
someone else?"

"Someone else?" Ella said. "Does Chun loved
somebody? Is he cheated on you?! God! I won't let this I'm going to
call him! I want to know who the girl that he replaces to you is!"

"No! No need Ella!" she said."But I want to know!" Ella said."You don't have to Ella!" Charlene said.

"But why?!" Ella said."BECAUSE THAT PERSON IS YOU!" she said. "Did you hear me? That person was you!"
